Aim
To form leaders and build teams for a new generation of Young People for Development (YPD)
Objectives
1. To form a new generation of key YPD leaders and mentors in countries of Asia and the Pacific
2. To train those leaders and mentors in the see judge act method of leadership formation
3. To provide leadership skills, tools and resources to enable those leaders to form new YPD teams.
4. To make plans for the growth of YPD in 2015 and 2016.

Saturday 29 November 2014 – Arrival and welcome
Arrival at Sungai Long
Afternoon: Rest and free time for early arrivals
6.30pm: Dinner for participants
8.00pm: Welcome to participants and get to know you session
Day 1: Sunday 30 November 2014: Learning about young people in Malaysia
8.00 am: Breakfast
8.30: Malay language practice (learn to speak a few words of Malay)
9.30 am: Official opening
10.00 am: Guest speaker: Aegile Fernandez, Director, Tenaganita

11.30 am: Presentation of the program: Stefan Gigacz

Introduction to afternoon exposure program
Choose small mixed groups of 4-5 participants to visit different venues

1.00 pm: Meeting and learning about young people in Malaysia
Departure in small groups to various venues
a) KL Krash Pad
b) HIV AIDS hospice
c) Migrant workers, Kepong
d) Cheshire homework
e) Shopping centre visits
6.00 pm: Return to Sungai Long
6.30 pm: Dinner
7.30 pm: Each group to prepare a creative 3 – 5 minute presentation of what you learnt about young people in Malaysia
8.15 pm: Each group to presentation
9.00 pm: Free time and rest
Day 2: Monday 1 December 2014: Learning to see, judge, act
7.00 am:
7.30 am: Breakfast
8.30 am: Malay practice: Learn to speak a few words of Malay
9.00 am: Introduction to the See, Judge, Act method in nine questions
9.30 am: See
Mixed small groups to discuss:
What are the major issues and problems facing young people in your country?
Talk about the young people you are in contact with and that you know
What exactly is happening?
What is this doing to people? (the consequences)
Why is this happening? (the causes)
11.00 am: Coffee break
11.30 am: Each group to present their findings in the form of a role play
12.30 pm: Lunch
2.00 pm: Judge

What do you think should be happening? (Change needed)
What does your faith tradition (Buddhist/Christian/Hindu/Muslim/Sikh/Secular…) have to say about these issues?
